Wanda Hayes

	Wanda Wanie Hayes died at 5:05 p.m. January 8, 2002 at her home in El Dorado, AR.
	Wanda was born May 16, 1924 in Pinckneyville, the daughter of George T. Hawkins and Lottie M. Wheatley Hawkins.  She married Kenneth L. Hayes on May 13, 1946 in Paducah, Kentucky.
	Before her marriage Wanda worked at the Small Arms Plant in St. Louis during the war.  she was a wife and homemaker most of her life.  they resided in Chicago from the early 50s to 1974 where Kenneth was a policeman for 21 years.  
	Survivors include a daughter, Susan Galbraith and husband John of Whiting, Ind.; two sons, Rex Hayes and wife Mary of Chicago and Bill Hayes and wife Dolly of Hammond, Indiana; two sisters, Lillian Conaway of DuQuoin and Charlotte Hoffman of Pinckneyville; a sister-in-law, Erma and husband Bill Thornhill of Champaign.  Also surviving are seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews and two dear friends, Christine Campbell of El Dorado and Lavada (Hap) Boyd of Pinckneyville.
	Preceding her in death were her husband; Father and Mother; a brother, Leslie; a sister, Dorothy (Dody) Rich and a niece, Billie May Pulke.
	Burial was at Mueller Hill Cemetery Friday, January 11, 2002.
